Director for Net Zero, Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) division at McBains, Tassos specialises in the delivery of net zero (energy, carbon), ESG reporting and sustainability. Tassos previously worked at Currie & Brown, BSRIA, The Buildings Hub and the Zero Carbon Hub (NHBC).
Originally from Greece, where he achieved BEng and MEng degrees (fluid mechanics) in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Tassos has a Master’s degree in Energy and Sustainability in Building Design from the University of Southampton and a Master’s degree in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering (Biomedical) Engineering from University College London. He has authored technical publications, supported UK central government policy development (Part L 2021), provided evidence for the development of several local plans and is actively contributing to several NGOs and other organisations such as the Future Homes Hub and the Green Building Council.
An industry wide acknowledged expert, Tassos’ knowledge and infectious enthusiasm is invaluable in developing the approach to ESG and achieving carbon neutrality objectives.
