Phil has been involved in building services for over 35 years in various positions from contracting, design, product development, sales and marketing. He has been involved in renewable technologies for the last 18 years and is a leading figure in promoting these technologies. Phil was appointed Chair of the Heat Pump Association in January 2021 following his role as Vice-Chair since April 2019. Representing around 95% of the heat pump manufacturing market share, the HPA has seen some major breakthroughs under Phil’s leadership and is committed to working in constructive partnership with the Government to ensure that consumers are able to access heat pumps as a solution to decarbonise their homes
